Health is a Necessity not a Luxury
In these stressful times
with the upcoming election, the stock market, and tragedies around the world,
people often panic and put their health concerns last. This is the exact
opposite of what should happen. Stress puts more pressure on your nervous system
and your immune system. When you are looking to cut corners on your
health...think again...it will cost you more later on. The most important
thing is to keep your body aligned regularly to keep your nervous system flowing
which will help all your vital organs. You should also be taking Nutritional
Supplements that increase your immune system naturally. I have many to
choose from that will help in your specific situation whether it be
sinus/allergies, adrenal, thyroid, or an overall immune system booster.
All of these are available at my office.
Stress Tips for the
Holidays
- Shop early or late and
avoid the holiday shopping rush, you will be less stressed and save
time.
- Limit your sugar and caffeine
intake, this will help keep your immune system high, and decrease your
stress.
- Make sure you
continue to make the time to exercise. It is more important than ever
even if just for short amounts of time..
- Practice
Thanks-Living everyday. Be grateful for everything you have and that
will keep you in a positive state of mind.
- Rehydrate your body.
Drink lots of water, especially when traveling on a plane. Drink one cup for
every hour of flying. Normally drink 8-10 glasses of water per
day.
Party Eating Tips
for the Holidays
- Remember never go to a party really hungry. Some people starve
all day and then overeat at the party; this is a big no
no.
- Never socialize around the
food, you will have the tendency to pick at the food and eat more without even
realizing it.
- Always put
your food on a plate so you can see how much you are really eating.
- Avoid extra
alcohol calories. Limit yourself to one or two alcoholic
beverages. Then you can have sparkling water with a splash of cranberry
juice to make a spritzer.
- Remember to laugh, socialize,
and have fun. Allow people to be the focus of the party instead of the
food.
